  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 5 to 6 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. finely chopped carrots
  • 1 c. minced onion
  • 1 c. finely chopped potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. plain, uncooked rice

Directions

    Brown ground beef.

    Sprinkle garlic salt; add rice and water. Simmer, uncovered, for 40 minutes.

    Next add carrots and potatoes. Cook 20 minutes.

    Stir in soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
