Squash Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. yellow squash
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1-1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 pkg. Waverly crackers (crumbled - 1/3 box)
  • 1/2 c. Pet milk
  • 2 eggs (beaten)

    Set aside enough grated cheese and cracker crumbs to cover casserole.

    Boil sliced

    squash in small amount of water, with salt and sugar.

    Cover and cook until tender.

    Drain well and add remaining ingredients.

    Mix well; pour into buttered casserole dish.

    Sprinkle remaining grated cheese and cracker crumbs on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
