- 3 c. chopped yellow squash (about 1 lb.)
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- 1 c. grated mild cheese
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Melt butter in bottom of shallow baking dish.

2Add alternately squash, salt, pepper, onions, bread crumbs and cheese.

3Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.

4Pour over the top, the evaporated milk and bake at 350° for about 40 minutes or until nicely browned.

5Makes 4 to 6 servings.
