  • 1 lb. yellow squash
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. grated cheese
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. pecans
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 chopped onion

    Cook squash and drain.

    Add all ingredients except bread crumbs and 1/4 cup cheese for topping; mix.

    Add bread crumbs and cheese and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
