Squash Casserole

- 4 lb yellow squash
- 2 lb zucchini squash
- 1 large onion
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup grated white cheese
- 1 cup grated Velveeta cheese
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 stick butter (1/2 stick is usually enough)
Directions

1Slice squash - chop onion.

2Add sugar, salt and pepper and water.

3Simmer until tender (about 20 minutes).

4Drain, put in buttered casserole.

5Alternate squash and cheeses.

6Dot with butter.

7Pour half and half over all.

8Cook 25 minutes or until set at 300°.
