- 3 medium squash
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
- 1/2 c. shredded cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 4 Tbsp. margarine, divided
Directions

1Cook squash and onion in a small amount of water until tender; drain.

2Add bread crumbs (saving 2 tablespoons for top), cheese, egg, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons margarine.

3Spoon into casserole dish.

4Top with the 2 tablespoons of crumbs; dot with the other 2 tablespoons margarine.

5Bake at 375° for 10 minutes or until brown.
