- 1 to 1 1/4 lb. squash
- 1 medium onion
- 2 slices bread
- 1 egg
- 2 to 3 tsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
Directions

1Cook squash until tender; drain.

2Mash with butter, salt and pepper.

3Slightly beat egg and soak bread in egg.

4Add slightly beaten egg, bread and onion; mix well.

5Pour half of mixture in casserole dish; top with half of cheese.

6Add remaining mixture and top with remaining cheese.

7Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
