- 1 lb. cut up squash
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 slice white bread, broken into pieces
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
- salt and pepper
- Ritz cracker crumbs
Directions

1Cook squash with onion in salted water until tender.

2Drain. Soak bread pieces in milk; add beaten egg, cheese, salt and pepper, then mix with squash.

3Pour all into a greased 1-quart casserole. Top with Ritz cracker crumbs and bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until set.
