- 2 to 3 lb. yellow squash, cubed
- 2 medium onions, cubed
- 8 to 12 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Italian bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. milk
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Boil squash and onion in salted water until tender.

2Drain. Put in a casserole with 3/4 of the cheese, the margarine and the salt and pepper.

3Let cheese and margarine melt.

4Mix well.

5Add eggs, milk and enough bread crumbs to desired consistency. Sprinkle top with remaining cheese and bread crumbs.

6Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until brown on top.
