Squash Dressing

  • 5 medium yellow squash
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. seasoned stuffing
  • 1/2 to 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Cut up squash and boil with 1/2 of onion until tender.

    Drain. Mix squash, soup and remainder of onion. Add 1 cup stuffing and mix. Pour into casserole dish.

    Mix other cup of stuffing with butter and sprinkle over top of casserole.

    Bake 30 minutes at 350°.

    Bake until almost done and then add cheese and top and cook until melted.
