Squash Dressing

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sliced yellow squash
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. cornbread crumbs
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • cheese (optional)

Directions

    Cook squash in water until tender.

    Drain and mash.

    Add remaining ingredients to squash and cook in greased 1 1/2-quart casserole at 350° for 25 minutes.

    Sprinkle cheese on top, if desired.
