  • 3 whole Squash
  • 3 stalks Celery
  • 1 whole Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cups Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Dry Sage
  • 1/2 teaspoons Poultry Seasoning
  • 1-1/2 cup Chicken Or Vegetable Broth
  • 3 cups Crumbled Leftover Cornbread
  • 3 cups Leftover French Bread, Cubed

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cube the squash and add it to a pot, covered with water. Boil until tender, about 15 minutes, then drain off the water and mash the squash with a potato masher.

    Chop the celery and onion and saute in butter and olive oil until translucent. Add flour and seasonings and continue to cook for a minute. Slowly stir in broth, letting it become thick. Then add the squash. Remove from the heat and stir in the bread. Place in a 9x9 baking dish and bake for 40 minutes.
