- 4 c. squash, sliced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- canola oil (for frying)
Directions

1Combine squash, onion and green pepper in a medium saucepan. Add water to cover.

2Cook over medium heat until tender; drain. Add next 5 ingredients, mixing well.

3Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls into hot oil.

4Fry until browned.

5Yields 10 to 12 patties.
