Ingredients

  • 1 gal. sliced squash
  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 2 c. sliced onions
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 hot peppers, chopped
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 qt. vinegar

Directions

    Lay squash out and sprinkle with salt.

    Cover with cold water and set overnight.

    Drain and combine remaining ingredients.

    Boil 3 to 4 minutes.

    Put in jars and seal.
