  • 6 medium squash
  • 4 onions
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 1 hot pepper
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. turmeric

    Chop squash, onions, bell peppers and hot pepper; add salt.

    Stir and let stand 1 hour.

    Keep cold with ice cubes. Cover with ice cubes in pan.
