- 6 large yellow butter squash
- 4 medium onions
- 2 green peppers
- 1/4 c. salt
- 3 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. white vinegar
- 2 tsp. celery seed
- 2 tsp. turmeric
Directions

1Cover squash, onions, peppers and salt with water.

2Soak 3 to 4 hours; drain well, then combine sugar, vinegar, celery seed and turmeric.

3Bring to a boil; simmer 3 minutes.

4Add vegetables to vinegar mixture and bring to boiling point; put in jars; seal. Makes approximately 6 pints.
