- 10 c. chopped squash (about 4 lb.)
- 4 c. chopped onions (about 1 1/2 lb.)
- 1 c. chopped bell pepper (1 large)
- 1/2 c. chopped hot pepper (about 5 large)
- 3 Tbsp. salt
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. white vinegar (5%)
- 1/2 Tbsp. nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp. celery salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Mix squash, onions, bell pepper, hot pepper and salt; set overnight.

2Rinse in 2 water baths.

3Mix sugar, vinegar, nutmeg, turmeric, celery salt and black pepper.

4Boil both mixtures together for 20 minutes.

5Put in hot jars.
