Ingredients

  • 10 c. shredded squash
  • 1/2 c. chopped jalapeno peppers
  • 4 large onions, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. canning salt
  • 2 1/2 c. 5% white vinegar
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 2 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric

Directions

    Mix first 5 ingredients together and place in covered container overnight in refrigerator.

    Next day, drain off liquid and add next 5 ingredients.

    Bring this mixture to boil, then lower heat and cook for 30 minutes.

    Fill sterilized jars and seal.
