- 6 large yellow or zucchini squash
- 4 large onions
- 1 bell pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 1/2 c. salt
- 3 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- pinch of turmeric
Directions

1Shred or grind squash, onions and peppers.

2Mix salt in enough ice water to cover squash, onions and peppers.

3Let soak for 3 hours.

4Rinse off salt water.

5Mix sugar, vinegar, water, celery seed and turmeric and pour over squash.

6Boil for 10 minutes. Pack in hot jars.
