- 10 c. squash, ground
- 4 c. onion, ground
- 5 Tbsp. salt (canning salt)
- 2 1/2 c. vinegar (apple cider vinegar)
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Mix squash, onions and salt and let stand overnight.

2Next day, drain and run cold water through squash mixture.

3Put on stove and add last 7 ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.

4Pack in jars and seal.

5Makes 8 quarts.
