Ingredients

  • 1 lb. squash
  • 8 to 10 crackers, crumbled fine
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 c. grated cheese (sharp)
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • salt and pepper to taste (1 tsp. each)

Directions

    Cook squash, onion, salt and pepper until tender.

    Drain water and mash.

    Add milk, cheese, butter, eggs and crackers; stir together.

    Bake in a buttered casserole dish at 350° for 30 minutes, or until brown.
