Squash Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 butternut squash
  • 3 to 4 sweet potatoes
  • 1 tsp. marjoram
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 McIntosh apple
  • 1 slice whole wheat bread
  • 1/4 c. chopped parsley
  • 1 bouillon cube (vegetable or chicken flavor)

Directions

    Cut skin off squash and sweet potatoes.

    Boil water in a soup pot.
  3. 3
    Add bouillon cube, herbs, parsley, sweet potatoes and squash.

    Boil in medium heat.

    When contents are almost soft, add 1 slice whole wheat bread and peeled apple.

    Cook 5 to 10 minutes. Let cool.

    Puree and serve.
