Squash-Walnut Casserole

  • 3 1/4 c. squash, cooked
  • 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
  • 1/3 c. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves or allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 or 6 walnut halves for garnish

    Combine all ingredients and mix well.

    Spoon into 1-quart baking dish.

    Bake at 375° for 30 to 40 minutes or until heated thoroughly.

    Can cover and refrigerate for 24 hours.

    Use any kind of squash or combinations.

    Good with sweet potatoes.
