Stacy's Fried Cabbage

  • 1/2 packages bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 head cabbage, cored & sliced
  • 3 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp onion flakes
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 6 tbsp butter

Directions

    Place bacon in a large frying pan and sautee over medium high heat until crispy.

    Add onion and garlic into the pan and sautee until caramelized.

    Add cabbage, caraway and the rest of the spices and mix well.

    Continue stirring.

    If starts to get to dry add butter 2 tablespoons at a time to pan.

    Reduce heat to low and cover, simmering about 30 min.

    All will be soft and wilty.
