Ingredients
- 2 c. milk, scalded
- 1/4 c. melted shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 5 to 6 c. flour
Directions

1Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt and cool to lukewarm. Soften yeast in lukewarm water.

2Stir and combine.

3Add 1/2 flour and beat well.

4Add more flour until right texture.

5Turn onto lightly floured board and knead for about 10 minutes.

6Put in greased bowl and let rise until double (2 hours).

7Turn out and shape.

8Place on greased pan and let rise 1/2 to 3/4 hour.

9Brush with grease.

10Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.
