  • 2 carambolas cut crosswise and seeded
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pie crust store bought
  • 2 tablespoons lemon curd or any jam/jelly
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • glaze

    Pre heat oven to 450 degrees

    Melt 1 tbsp butter on medium heat

    Add star apples, brown sugar, and cornstarch and mix gently
  4. 4
    Cook in medium low heat for 3 minutes or until mixture thickens and set aside

    Unroll pie crust on a lightly greased cookie sheet

    Spread lemon curd evenly on pie crust

    Add star apple-sugar mixture in middle of pie crust, and spread evenly
  8. 8
    Fold and tuck sides of pie crust and brush butter evenly on the crust

    Bake for 10 minutes or until crust is golden brown

    Take out of oven and brush glaze over the tart
