- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. water
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco or lard
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Soften 1 package dry yeast in 1/4 cup very warm water.

2Cut butter and Crisco into flour and salt mixture until particles are the size of small peas.

3Blend in the beaten eggs, sour thick or commercial cream, vanilla and the softened yeast.

4Mix thoroughly. Cover; chill at least 2 hours.

5Dough may be stored in refrigerator up to 4 days and baked as needed.
