  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 3 Tbsp. all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c. beef broth
  • 1/2 c. A.1. Original or A.1. Bold & Spicy Steak sauce
  • 3 c. cubed cooked steak (about 1.5 lb.)
  • 1 pkg. (16-oz) frozen broccoli, cauliflower, carrot mixture
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 prepared pastry for 1-crust pie

Directions

    Cook onion in margarine in 2 quart saucepan over medium-high heat until tender.

    Blend in flour; cook 1 minute more.

    Add broth and steak sauce; cook and stir until mixture thickens and begins to boil.

    Stir in steak and vegetables.

    Spoon mixture into 8-inch square glass baking dish.

    Roll out and cut pastry crust to fit over dish.

    Seal crust to edge of dish; brush with egg.

    Slit top of crust to vent.

    Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
