Ingredients
- 2 to 3 c. water
- 1 to 2 onions, chopped
- 2 to 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 lb. coarsely ground beef or finely diced chuck roast, browned and drained
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. beef base granules or paste
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Put all ingredients, except butter and flour, in crock-pot. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 12 hours.

2Make a paste of the melted butter and flour.

3Stir until smooth.

4Pour into crock-pot and stir until thickened.

5Cook soup on high until thickened.
