  • 2 lb. beef stew meat
  • 1 can tiny peas
  • 2 chopped onions
  • 2 c. sliced carrots
  • salt to taste
  • 3 peppercorns
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or tomato soup, thinned with 1/2 can water
  • 2 large raw potatoes, sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • pinch of thyme, parsley and rosemary

    Brown stew meat in skillet.

    Mix remaining ingredients in a large Dutch oven. Bake, covered, 5 hours at 275°.
