- 2 lb. boneless stew beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 lb. carrots, diced
- 1 can garden peas
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Brown beef in small amount of oil in a large skillet.

2Transfer it to a 6-quart Dutch oven.

3Cover with water.

4Add salt, pepper, onions, potatoes, carrots and soup.

5Cover and cook slowly about 1 hour.

6Add peas and cook about 15 more minutes.

7Serve with hot baked cornbread.
