- 3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. basil or parsley, chopped
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
Directions

1Place tomatoes and spices in a heavy saucepan over low heat and cook 20 minutes if using fresh tomatoes (only 10 minutes for canned tomatoes).

2Bread crumbs may be added if a thicker stew is desired.
