Sticky Rice

Ingredients

  • 500 ml water
  • 150 grams Rice
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/2 chicken stock cube
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 bunch of parsley (optional)

Directions

    Add the water, stock cube, salt and onion to a medium sized pan and bring to the boil.

    wash the rice in a seperate bowl and leave in water for 5 minutes.
  3. 3
    drain the rice and add to the boiling water.
  4. 4
    cook for 10-15 minutes.
  5. 5
    Add more water if required.

    (optional) Add the parsley about 5 minutes before turning the hob off.
  7. 7
    Leave to set for 5-10 minutes.
  8. 8
    and serve
