Ingredients

  • 4 c. water
  • 1 c. Coffee-mate
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 2 tsp. mustard powder
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut in small pieces
  • 1 3/4 sticks butter
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. picante sauce
  • 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Directions

    Mix the first 6 ingredients and bring to a boil.

    (A double boiler works best.)

    Add the cheese.

    In a separate boiler, mix the butter and flour. Add to cheese mixture to thicken. Reduce heat to simmer and add the picante sauce, chili powder and lemon juice.

    Blend well and remove from heat to cool.
