- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. butter
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1/2 tsp. ground cardamon
- 1/2 c. seedless raisins
- 1 c. sliced candied red and green cherries
- 4 c. sifted flour (about)
- melted butter
Directions

1Soften active dry yeast in warm water.

2Scald milk; stir in sugar, salt and butter.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Mix in 2 cups flour, yeast, eggs, cardamon and fruit.

5Add enough remaining flour to make a stiff dough.

6Knead on floured surface.

7Place dough in greased bowl; grease top of dough down.

8Cover and let stand 10 minutes.
