  • 3/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavor gelatin
  • 1 c. broken nuts

Directions

    Combine sugar, syrup and water in a 3-quart heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. If sugar crystals form on sides of pot, wipe off with damp cloth. Continue cooking to the hard ball stage (252°).
