  • 1 c. butter or oleo
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped

Directions

    Mix first four ingredients and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    When brown, press half of mixture in pan.

    Save half for top of dessert.
