Strawberry Fluff

Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 c. white sugar
  • 1 large pkg. frozen strawberries, partially thawed
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 large tub whipped topping

Directions

    Mix first four ingredients and spread in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake in 350° oven for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.

    Remove from oven and cool.

    Remove 1/3 for topping.

    Beat egg whites, sugar, berries and lemon juice at low speed for 2 minutes.

    Use large bowl, then beat at high speed until stiff peaks form (about 10 minutes).

    Fold in whipped topping.

    Spoon over crumb mixture. Sprinkle top with reserved crumbs.

    Freeze 6 hours or overnight. Makes 12 to 15 servings.
