  • 2 qt. strawberries (4 1/2 c.)
  • 1 box Sure-Jell
  • 7 c. sugar

Directions

    Clean and wash fully ripe fruit.

    Mix Sure-Jell with fruit in 6 or 8-quart saucepan.

    Place over high heat and stir until mixture comes to a hard boil.

    At once add sugar.

    Bring to a full, rolling boil that cannot be stirred down.

    Boil hard one minute, stirring constantly.
  7. 7
    Remove from heat and skim off foam. Stir and skim five minutes to cool slightly and prevent floating fruit.

    Ladle into glasses, leaving 1/2-inch space at top.

    Cover jam immediately with 1/8-inch hot paraffin.
