  • 1 qt. strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 3 c. sugar

Directions

    Wash and cap strawberries.

    Place in heavy Dutch oven.

    Add vinegar; stir.

    Boil 1 minute covered.

    Uncover and add sugar; boil 20 minutes or more depending on type of berries.

    Let set until completely cool or overnight.

    Put into regular jars and seal.

    Store in freezer or process in water bath for 5 minutes. They will stay brighter in freezer.
