Ingredients

  • 500 grams Strawberries
  • 200 grams Sugar
  • 1 half a lemon Lemon juice

Directions

  1. 1
Wash the strawberries and remove as much moisture as possible.
  2. 2
Place the strawberries and sugar in a thick pot.
  3. 3
Leave for awhile until the sugar begins to dissolve.
  4. 4
Turn the heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. 5
    Simmer while gently stirring.
  6. 6
Skim off the scum occasionally, making sure not to crush the strawberries.
  7. 7
When the liquid becomes a dark red, add the lemon juice and lower the heat to low.
  8. 8
Boil down the liquid while stirring and making sure it doesn't burn.
  9. 9
When it becomes just a little bit more runny than your preferred thickness, turn off the heat.
  10. 10
When it cools, it will harden a little bit.
  11. 11
To preserve for a long time, pour it into a jar while it's still hot.
  12. 12
Sanitize the jar by putting it, along with the spoon and a lot of water, into a pot.
  13. 13
Boil for 5 minutes and then remove.
  14. 14
Fill the jar to the brim with jam, close the lid, and turn upside down for a little while.
  15. 15
It will be good in the refrigerator for 6 months.
  16. 16
If you just wash the jar, it will be good for 1 week.
  17. 17
    Blueberry jam is also cute!
  18. 18
    The procedure is the same.
  19. 19
    You can also freeze it.
