Strawberry Pie

  • 1 qt. strawberries
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch (level)
  • 1 baked pie shell (9-inch)

Directions

    Hull the strawberries; save half for bottom of pie shell. Mash other half, add sugar and cornstarch.

    Mix well and cook until clear and thick, stirring constantly so mixture will not stick.

    Cool strawberry mixture and baked pie shell.

    Line cooled pie shell with uncooked berries, flat side down.

    Pour cooled berries mixture over all.

    Top with whipped cream.
