  • 1 pt. strawberries
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 baked 9-inch pie shell
  • 4 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
  • red food coloring

Directions

    In top of double boiler, combine sugar, cornstarch and butter. Cook until clear.

    Remove from heat.

    Add few drops red food coloring.

    Add strawberry Jell-O.

    Stir.

    Place whole strawberries in pie crust.

    Pour mixture over berries.

    Chill several hours. Serve with whipping cream.
