Strawberry Sorbet

- 4 pt. fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1In food processor or blender, puree strawberries.

2In large saucepan, over medium-high heat, combine strawberry puree with 4 cups water and sugar.

3Bring to a boil.

4Cook 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly.

5Stir in lemon juice.

6Remove from heat.

7Cool thoroughly.

8Pour mixture into 8-inch pan.

9Freeze 3 to 4 hours or until firm.

10With spoon, break frozen mixture into chunks.

11Transfer to large bowl.

12Beat with mixer until smooth. Return to pan and freeze 2 to 3 hours until firm.

13Yields 16 servings (88 calories and 0.3 g fat per serving).
