Strawberry Tabox Cake

  • 1 lb. vanilla wafers
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 qt. strawberries, cut in half
  • 1/2 pt. cream, whipped stiff

Directions

    Crush wafers fine and put more than half in bottom of 18 x 12 x 2-inch pan.

    Cream butter and mix with sugar.

    Add 1 egg at a time and beat well.

    Spread over crumbs in pan, then cover with sliced strawberries.

    Spread whipped cream over berries and cover with remaining crumbs.

    Place in refrigerator overnight.

    Slice and serve with or without whipped cream and strawberry on top.
