Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 lb. stew meat
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 (10 oz.) cans beef broth
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 large potatoes, chopped
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 6 carrots, chopped
  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic

    Sprinkle flour, salt and pepper over meat.

    In large stockpot, heat oil.

    Add meat; cook until browned.

    Add beef broth and water.

    Add the rest of the ingredients except sour cream.

    Boil, then reduce heat to medium low and simmer 50 to 55 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.

    Remove from heat; stir in sour cream.
