- 2 c. sifted flour
- 3 eggs
- pinch of salt
- 2 c. salad oil
- 1 1/4 c. honey
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. pine nuts (optional)
- 2 tsp. confectioners sugar
Directions

1Sift flour.

2Make a well in center and break eggs into it. Add salt and knead until smooth.

3Roll dough out on lightly floured board until 1/4-inch thick.

4Cut into 1/2-inch strips and cut strips into tiny pieces 1/2-inch long.

5With the palm of the hands, shape these tiny pieces into balls the size of a filbert. Heat oil to 350° and drop balls in 3 at a time.

6Fry until lightly browned, turning them constantly with a wooden spoon.

7Remove balls and drain them.
