Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

  • 3/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 large cabbage leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Del Monte original style stewed tomatoes (no salt added)
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    Mix the meat, onion, eggs, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper to taste.

    Add rice.

    Precook cabbage leaves for 3 minutes in small amount of boiling water; drain.

    Spoon meat mixture into cabbage leaves.

    Roll cabbage leaves around meat mixture; secure with toothpicks.

    Put in baking pan with tomatoes and tomato sauce.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes (or until done).
