Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 16 oz. tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. light brown sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, cooked
- 1 c. cooked rice
- 1 slice white bread, crumbled
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
Directions

1In a covered skillet, cook cabbage leaves in boiling water. Drain and set aside.

2In same skillet, heat margarine over medium heat.

3Add onion; cook until tender.

4Add tomato sauce, sugar, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper; mix well and set aside.

5In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients; divide into 12 equal portions.

6Place 1 portion in center of each cabbage leaf.

7Fold leaf sides toward center, then from one edge roll up leaf.

8Place in sauce in skillet, seam side down.

9Cover and simmer over medium heat for 45 minutes.
