Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

  • 1/2 c. milk or more if needed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 to 2 heads cabbage (extra cabbage needed to line pan and cover cabbage rolls)
  • 1 onion
  • 10 strips bacon
  • 3/4 c. rice
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground meat (either 1/2 lb. ground beef and 1 lb. ground pork butts or vice versa)
  • 2 (10 3/4 oz.) cans tomato soup
  • 1/2 pt. sour cream
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic

Directions

    Boil cabbage in large pot until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

    Cook rice until tender.

    Cut bacon into small pieces and fry slowly for 5 minutes.

    Chop onion and fry with the bacon, about 10 minutes.
